When we solve an exponential equation of the form: ^() = ^(), for the first step we usually do () = (). Why can we do this? What property of the exponential function is used?

Answer:

Its because of PEDMAS or PEMDAS (either or)

Explanation:

in PEDMAS its Parentheses, exponents, division, multiplication, addition and then subtraction.

You do them by order, meaning that since parentheses is before exponents in PEDMAS its always just going to be before.
