we can start by looking at y = 13 the total cost (y) of a CHEESE pizza is $13

So x will represent how many toppings are added. We can multiply $2 times how many toppings to figure out the additional cost of the toppings.

y = 13 + 2x ; remember, function form is y=mx+b so re-write the equation as
