Can anyone help me with these questions please? 5 + 2x = 19 and also 4x + 3 = 27

Answer: x = 7

5 + 2x = 19

-5 2x = 14 -5

/2 x = 7 /2

Answer: x = 6

4x + 3 = 27

-3 4x = 24 -3

/4 x = 6 /4

Answer:

x= 7

Explanation:

5+2x=19

Subtract 5 from both sides

so...

2x=14

then divide by two to isolate the x

so..

x=7

4x+3=27

Subtract 3 from both sides

so...

4x=24

then divide by 4 to isolate the x

so....

x=6
