To add 1 + 1 you must add the two together. (Obviously-) Take using your fingers as an example. you hold one finger up and add another. that gives you two. you can use this method for a lot of adding problems. I don't recommend using it when adding with a two digit number. The answer two 1 + 1 is 2

You take your 1. Hold up one finger on your left hand. Then on your right hand, hold up another finger. When you put them fingers together that is what the answer is. Therefore the answer is 2.
