Explanation:

You can only combine variables with like terms. Variables with like terms are
(7)/(9) ( -(6)/(9) ) (-(5)/(9)) so 7/9 - 6/9 is 1/9 and 1/9 - 5/9 is -4/9. The other variables with like terms are 2 and (-7). 2 - 7 = -5. Now combining these two together we get the fraction -4/9 -5
