Which is an equation for a line that passes through (0,-3) and is perpendicular to the graph of the line y=2x-3?

1. Y=-2x+3

I think the answer is 2

Explanation:

I it is perpendicular to y=2x-3 then the x value has to be -1 meaning that the x value has to be -2x

so we have Y=-2x+c

We know the Y value is -3 from the co ordinates (0,-3)

so now we have -3=-2x+c

we also know x=0 from the co-ordinates (0,-3)

so we now have -3=-2*0+c

-3=0+c

to make the equation work c has to be -3 meaning that we now have

-3=0-3 which is

Y=-2x-3
