There are 14 apples in a basket. 6 of these apples are green. The rest of them are red.

(a) what is the ratio of green apples to red apples?
(b) what is the ratio of red apples to all apples in the basket?

a. 6:8 or 3:4

Explanation:

You have 6 Greens. If there are 14 Apples, then 14-6=8. So there are 8 Reds.

The basic ratio would be 6:8, but once you simplify it you get 3:4
