Why do many schools in Spanish-speaking countries have two shifts?

There are a lot of child there and there is a high demand for school to be taught to them, so there has to be a limit, but that limit is still big so they have to take shifts to help contribute and educate the children there.

They do it to meet the large demand for education and to serve all students when space might be limited.
