Using the substitution of (y=y) what is y= -3x+5 y= -2x+3 (pls help this is)

x = 2 and y = -1

Explanation:

y = -3x + 5

y = -2x + 3

-3x + 5 = -2x + 3

Add 2x to both sides;

-x + 5 = 3

Subtract 5 from both sides;

-x = -2

Divide both sides by -1

x = 2

Solve for y;

y = -3x + 5

y = -3(2) + 5

y = -6 + 5

y = -1
