DNA is the vital for all living beings. even plants. it is important for inheritance, coding for proteins and the genetic instruction guide for life and its processes. DNA holds the instructions for an organisms or each cells development and reproduction and ultimately death.

Each chromosome consists of a single, very long DNA molecule, and each gene on the chromosome is a particular segment of that DNA. the instructions for forming species characteristics are carried in DNA.

In my science class we just got done learning this so it should be correct.
