When looking at the facts, it makes far more sense to have the US make the process of immigration easier. Making immigration easier actually decreases cases of illegal immigration. We can see this especially with the recent elections. Under the Trump administration, immigration was highly regulated and it became much harder to legally enter the country. However, because of this, the rate of illegal immigration has significantly increased. Overall, people are going to enter the US whether it’s legal or not. Making the process easier just helps them come in the right way.
