To simplify you mainly just try and combine the terms

First step is to distribute the 2 that is in front of "(5+3x)"

the way you do this is multiply everything inside the parantheses by 2

(5•2+3x•2) = 10+6x

put that into the original equation and now we just have the easy part

10+6x+x+10

combine alike terms

6x+x=7x 10+10=20

7x+20 is that equation simplified
