5x - 6y = 33 \\ y = - 14 - 2x \\

Put the second one in first


5x - 6( - 14 - 2x) = 33 \\ 5x + 84 + 12x = 33 \\ 17x = - 51 \\ x = - 3


y = - 14 - 2 * ( - 3) \\ y = - 8
