why do you think that crimes are often committed against people that the perpetrators knows?

I believe most crimes are committed against victims that they know because they have more of a motive. This motive could be anger towards that person, previous issues, problems, or trauma caused by that person. They also know the person's routines and whether that person is an easy victim.
