"Revenge of the Geeks" by Alexandra Robbins is about the authors personal experience observing and analyzing the behaviors of excluded High School and Middle School students. Specifically, how they turn the things for which they are bullied or excluded into their successes later in their lives. Seeking to highlight this, Robbins begins talking about celebrities like Tim Gunn and Taylor Swift and how what they were once made fun of for has now made them successful. With this considered, the essay finished talking about how this experience of being an outsider largely disappears as adulthood sets in and people evolve to be mature enough to accept people's differences. Clearly, the author wrote this to comfort those who are excluded, but also to invalidate the idea that their uniqueness was anything but an asset.
