Answer: 18

If she paid $12 for 2 cans.

Let, cost of 1 can be, $x

thus, cost of 2 cans= 2x

but, given 2x= 12

x=$6 ( cost of 1 can)

Now, cost of 3 cans= 3× 6=$18

(amount she has to pay for 3 cans)
