Answer:

f(x) × g(x) = -6x² - 7x + 3

Explanation:

→ let D₁ be the line that represents f :

Slope of D₁ = (-5 - 1)/(2 - 1) = -3

Also D₁ passes through the point (0 , 1)

Then ,

f(x) = -3x + 1

……………………………

→ let D₂ be the line that represents g :

Slope of D₂ = (5 - -1)/(1 - -2) = 6/3 = 2

Also D₂ passes through the point (0 , 3)

Then ,

g(x) = 2x + 3

……………………………

f(x) × g(x) = (-3x + 1)×(2x + 3)

= -6x² - 9x + 2x + 3

= -6x² - 7x + 3
