In the coordinate plane, the point A (-2,-1) is translated to the point A (-4,0). Under the same translation, the points B (-4,2) and C (-6,-5) are translated to B and C respectively. What are the coordinates for B and C?

Answer:

The coordinates for B' would be (-6,1) and the coordinates for C would be (-8,-6)

Explanation:

Point A was translated 2 left and 1 down to point A'

B = (-4,2)

-4 - 2 = -6 and 2 - 1 = 1 so B' would equal (-6,1)

C = (-6,-5)

-4 - 2 = -8 and -5 - 1 = -6 so C' would equal (-8,-6)
