The average person uses 6 square feet of area. If we have a 30 ft by 15 ft room with walls 10 ft high, approximately how many people could stand up in the room?

Explanation:

First we need to find the total surface area of the room expressed as;

Total surface area = 2(LW+LH+WH)

L is the length = 30ft

W is the width = 15ft

H I the height = 10ft

Substitute

TSA = 2{(30(15)+30(10)+15(10)}

TSA = 2(450+300+150)

TSA = 2(900)

TSA = 1800ft²

Since an average person uses 6 square feet of area, the total numwr of people that can stand up the room is expressed as;

Total people = TSA/average area per person

Total person =1800/6

Total person = 300persons

Hence 300persos can stand up the room
