Given that,

35 + 50

By distributive property,

a(b + c) = ab + ac

First find the greatest common factor of 35 and 50

The factors of 35 are: 1, 5, 7, 35

The factors of 50 are: 1, 2, 5, 10, 25, 50

Then the greatest common factor is 5

Thus, factor out 5 from given expression,

35+50= 5(7+10)

5(7+10)= 5×7+5×10

5(7+10)= 35+50

5(7+10)= 85

Thus distributive property is applied
