On Saturday, Carrie went to the store and bought 4 loaves of bread and 1 gallon of milk for a total of $12.50. The next weekend, she went to the same store and spent $11.50 on 2 loaves of bread and 2 gallons of milk. The prices had not changed. What is the price for one gallon of milk?

we know that

4x+y=12.50 ----> equation A

2x+2y=11.50 ----> equation B

Solve the system of equations by graphing
