How to know if lines are proportional

Answer:

A line is proportional if the y-intercept is at 0,0. So your equation might look like y=4x. But it can't be y=4x+1. Since then the y intercept is at 0,1.

normally they'll be the same length, or you can multiply one line by a number to get the other line
