A student writes the equation for a line that gas a slope of -6 and passes through the point (2,-8).

Y-(-8)=-6(x-2)
Y-(-8)=-6x+12
Y-(-8)+8=-6x+12+8
Y=-6x+20

Explian why the work is not correct.

On the third step it adds 8 on both sides. You are suppose to subtract 8 on both sides.
