The area of the trapezoid is 28 inches square

The formula for the area of a trapezoid is expressed as;

A = a + b/2 h

Such that the parameters are given as;

  • A is the area of the trapezoid
  • a and b are the side lengths
  • h is the height

Substitute the values, we get that;

Area = 6 + 8/2 ×4

add the values

Area = 14/2 ×4

divide the values

Area = 7×4

Area = 28 inches square
