The answer is x=2
5(5-x)=5(2x-1)
The first thing you do is distribute both of the fives which will give you
25-5x=10x-5
The next thing to do is get both the x’s on one side so you add 5x to both sides which will give you
25=15x-5
The next step is to get the x by itself so you add 5 to both sides which will give you
30=15x
And the last step is to divide both sides by 15 which will give you
X=2
