I can only think of disadvantages tbh. It's a stress on mental health, it confuses people with ADHD or people on the autism spectrum or just people who are neurodivergent in general because some associate school with work and relaxation at home. I have anxiety and depression and homework gives me extreme stress, especially when I hyperfixate on it and then mess one question up, it can ruin my entire week or I can completely break down. A lot of the time, I can tell a teacher once or twice that my mental health is not in the best place and they'll excuse me for a couple of days, but after a few times, they wont put up with my "BS" anymore and take points off of my homework because I handed it in late. This causes even more stress which can ultimately affect your physical body.
