Line P: y=1/2x+6

Line Q: y=-4x-3

First let's do line p!

Let's use the equation y=mx+b

Let's also use the point, (-2, 5).

And we have our y-intercept=b

So,

5=m(-2)+6

5=-2m+6

-1=-2m

1/2=m

And boom we have our equation! y=1/2x+6

Now on to line Q!

Let's use the same point!

5=m(-2)+(-3)

5=-2m-3

8=-2m

m=-4

And bam! Equation! y=-4x-3
