Answer:

1) slope = 1/5

x - intercept = (10, 0)

y - intercept = (0,-2)

2) use the method I used for number one to do number 2.

Explanation:

slope = rise/run = y2-y1/x2-x1

1)

use any 2 points on a line. Chose one y-value which is y2 and the corresponding x-coordinate is x2. In the other coordinates, the y-value is y1 and the x-value is x1. Let's use points:

(-10, -4)

(-5, -3)

y2 = -3, which means:

y1 = -4

x1 = -10

x2 = -5

plug in the values:

-3-(-4)/-5-(-10)

=1/5

X - intercept is when y = 0. Plug in 0 for y when you see it.

x-0 = 10

x=10

x-intercept = (10,0)

Same for y intercept, except x = 0 this time.

0-5y=10

-5y=10

y=-2

y-intercept = (0,-2)
