Solve this equation:

2.7x (27 + 4x) - 45y + 2

if y = 3

and x = 5

Sorry if this is a tough problem.

Answer: 2.7x (27 + 4x) - 45y + 2 = 501.5

Explanation:

Start with 2.7x (27 + 4x)

so 2.7(5) = 13.5

and then you change the number that multiplies with the others:

13.5 (27 + 4x)

Then multiply them:

364.5 + 54x

And then add them with the rest of your equation:

364.5 + 54x - 45y + 2

Now multiply the numbers that have the variables:

364.5 + 54x - 45y + 2

54(5) = 270 and -45(3) = -135

then add them to the equation again:

364.5 + 270 -135 + 2

And then add them or subtract them altogether (I added 364.5 and 270 first and I got: 634.5. And then I subtracted/added -135 + 2 second and I got: -133.

then do 634.5 - 133 and you should get 501.5.

Answer:

501.5

Explanation:

Fill it in.

  1. 2.7(5)(27+4(5))-45(3)+2
  2. Multiply, 13.5(27+20)-135+2
  3. Add, 13.5(47)-133
  4. Multiply, 634.5-133
  5. Subtract, 501.5
