Set up and solve a system of equations to solve the problem.

Casey wants to buy a gym membership. One gym has a $60 joining fee and costs $30 per month. Another gym has no joining fee and costs $50 per month. When would Casey pay the same amount to be a member of either gym? How much would he pay?

y = 30x + 60
y = 50x

30x - y = -60
50x - y = 0
solve the system.
(3,50)
he would pay the same amount at 3 months in, for $50.

Answer:

The first Gym when he joins we will have to pay 60 dollars and in a 30 witch cost 90 dollers. but the second gym cost 50 $ per month so the first gym in a year he will pay 450$ and the second one 600 so the first one is cheeper.
