Six less than two times a number is no more than 17.

This is for math I failed a math unit test it was 100 points I’m not the best at every subject even though I get A’s normally from my own work. But I really need help with this I have this question I need to do so I can try to get my grade up just a little bit before tomorrow because they take my device away at school and I don’t have time to do it later.

6-(2x)=17 because less than means minus.
So 6-two times a number. We don't know
what number so we use X as a variable to fill
in for that number. We have to solve
multiplication first because PEMDAS so we
put the 2X in parentheses so it's solved
before we subtract 6! Then we put =17
because it says it is no more than 17,
meaning it's equal to 17!
