Explanation:

use formula y=mx+b

M is slope

B is y intercept

use point (2,4) for Y2 and X2, and point (0,1) for Y1 and X2 to find the slope.

(Y2(4) - Y1(1))/ (X2(2) - X1(0)) =

(4-1)/(2-0)= 3/2 for slope=M

y intercept is just the point found on the y axis (0,1) so it's just 1. B=1

so then plug in the numbers for the variables.

y=(3/2)x + 1
