Find the length of the side of the square if (6x-1) and(4x+6)​

It’s a square. Therefore, the sides have EQUAL length. So, we can set up the two binomials EQUAL to each other like so

6x-1=4x+6

isolate variable, minus 4x both sides and add 1 both sides

2x = 7

x = 7/2

substitute this value into one of the terms to find the length. Only one because they’re equal.

6(7/2)-1=20
