America has helped rebuild other nations after wars, such as in Europe after World War II and in Iraq. Are such reconstruction efforts good policy? Why or why not?

Without delving into the strings attached in the agreements signed between the United States and nations receiving financial aid, the overall policy of helping other nations rebuild after war is more good than bad. This both provides relief to the aided nation so it is less likely to fall into an economic depression as well as strengthens the United States trade system through building good standing with nations internationally
