Answer:

(4, 3 )

Explanation:

4x - 2y = 10 → (1)

4x + y = 19 → (2)

subtract (1) from (2) term by term

(4x - 4x) +y - (- 2y) = 19 - 10

0 + y + 2y = 9

3y = 9 ( divide both sides by 3 )

y = 3

substitute y = 3 into either of the 2 equations and solve for x

substituting into (2)

4x + 3 = 19 ( subtract 3 from both sides )

4x = 16 ( divide both sides by 4 )

x = 4

solution is (4, 3 )

Answer:

y=3 x=4

Explanation:

4x - 2y = 10

4x + y = 19

-3y=-9

the 4x canceled out.

y=3

plug in y into one of the equations

4x + 3 = 19

4x=16

x=4

Hope this helps!

If not, I am sorry.
