Answer:

Rome during the golden age was a horrific period mainly because of the poverty and the arduous conditions of the city. Many of Rome's citizens were prone for fires and numerous diseases because of their living quarters. They consisted of abysmally houses that could've collapse at any moment killing the residents inside. Rome was very divided with the wealthy living close to the imperial palace if you could a large sum of money then could buy the best house money could get. Men and women back then enjoyed the company of socializing with people from different classes inside the public bath houses.

people were very unsanitary their clothes were very grimy but whenever they decided to clean them they did it with urine. they didn't have the products that we use on a daily basis like soap but instead urine. they didn't care who's urine it was it just had to be urine, they would pick up pots on the street for it. the only reason urine was used was for the cleaning agent that's in most cleaning products is ammonia. this method of clothes didn't last long because soon taxes would be put on people who collected chamber pots off the street
