recall that all internal angles of a triangle sum up to 180 deg

we are given that ∠F is a right angle = 90 deg

Simply sum all all the angles and equate the sum to 180 deg

90 + (3x+29) + (5x-3) = 180

90 + 3x+29 + 5x-3 = 180

90 + 3x+29 + 5x-3 = 180

116 + 8x = 180 (subtract 116 from both sides)

8x = 180 - 116

8x = 64 (divide both sides by 8)

x = 64/8

x = 8
