One way to put the equation -2x = y = 8 into the slope-intercept form is to add the -2x to the other side of the equation. Then you will get y = 8 + 2x. Now, because of the commutative property of addition, you can write the equation as y = 2x + 8. Then graph the equation. Since you know that 8 is a y intercept.
