n = -9
Explanation:
Given
4(0.5n-3) =n-0.25(12-8n)
Solving for n
4(0.5n) - 4(3) = n - 0.25(12) + 0.25(8n)
2n - 12 = n - 3 + 2n
-12 = n - 3
n = 3 - 12
n = -9
