Answer:
x = 20
y = 8

In a parallelogram, there are always two pairs of equal sides, where in this question:

Side CD = Side BA
Side DA = Side CB

Use this to find x and y.

CD = BA
15 = x - 5
x = 20 (rearranging to find x)

DA = CB
y = 8
