Answer:

b = -12

Explanation:

In order to find the slope intercept you must first find the slope of the given points.

-4,2 = 12,6

S=(y2-y1)/(x2-x1)

Substitute:

(12--4)/(6-2)

12--4=12+4=16

6-2=4

S=(16)/(4)

Now find the slope intercept

16/4=4

SI=y=mx+b

Substitute:

12=4*6+b

Solve:

4*6=24

12=24+b

Subtract 24 on both sides:

12-24=-12

x=-12

y=-12

Hope this helps.
