1. Imagine your family farms in the Nile Valley. Each year when the river's floodwaters spread rich soll (good

dirt) on the land, you help your father plant barley. When you are not in the fields, you spin fine linen (cotton)
thread from flax (cotton plant) you have grown. Sometimes you and your friends hunt birds, in the tall grass
along the river banks.
Why would you like living in the Nile Valley vs. the nomadic life in the desert?

Answer:

In the Nile Valley, you stay in one relative position with food and water, While Nomadic life in the desert is a lot of traveling and moving from place to place, Nothing is permanent and there is not a lot of fresh clean drinking water.
