Alex wants to buy a case of drinks, he doesn’t have enough. The cost of the case is $30. He already has $2. He gets $8 every hour for work. How many hours does he need to work to get the amount he needs?

Example:
3x + 12 ≤ 35
3x + 12 - 12 ≤ 35 - 12
3x ≤ 23
3x/3 ≤ 23/3
X≤ 7.6667
(solve it like that please) ASAP

Answer:

So the answer is 3 and an half of a hour(3.5 hours)

Explanation:

$8 times 3 = 24 + the $2 he has =$26 + half an hour($4) =$30

8 times 3 = 24

plus $2 = $26

since he gets $8 for an hour of work and we only need $4, we can make him work half an hour

so $26 + $4 =$30
