Which equation represents a line passing through the points (8, 16) and (-1,-11)?

Answer: (24/16)x+3
Explanation: First you have to find your slope so to do that you’ll have to do y1-y2/x2-x1. Once you have your slope you have to put this into an equation and use y=mx+b, so you can use the two first points (8,16) and plug it into the formula. You’ll have 16=3(8)+b once you have that you’ll multiply 3(8) which is 24 and then bring that down so now you have 16=24+b, the next step is to divide 16 by 24 you cannot divide this though because you’ll have a decimal n you don’t want that so you’ll have a fraction of 24/16.
