\huge\underline{\overline{\mid{\bold{\red{ANSWER}}\mid}}}

Area of the metal plate =
L * B

=
32cm * 12cm \\ 384cm^(2)

Area of small squares =
a^(2)

4cm * 4cm \\ =16cm^(2)

Number of squares that can be cut =

\frac{384cm^(2) }{16 {cm}^(2) } = 24

Hence 24 squares can be cut.

Answer:

24

Explanation:

First find the area of the metal plate: 32*12=384

Find the are of each small square to see how much space it takes: 4*4=16

Divide the two to see how many can fit: 24
