x>-12

Explanation:

We want to the equation so that x is the only thing on the left-hand side.
-x/8 < 1.5 (multiply both sides by 8)
-x < 12

Now, whenever you multiply or divide by a negative when dealing with an inequality, you have to switch the sign.
x > -12.
