In the story, the faithful servant is the protagonist and the king is the antagonist. Why do you think these two characters fit the classification of protagonist and antagonist? Write your answer in 75 to 100 words.

I think that the character's in this story were very complex the king had abused his power by asking a faithful servant to complete difficult tasks for him and the king was hoping that he would win the princes love and the faithful servant was hard working and he was very brave when the king had asked him to bring back the water of life and the king was hoping to win the princess but towards the end of the story the king learns a lesson about hard work.

The faithful servant is the protagonist because he is the hero of the story. He accomplishes the tasks that the king is supposed to complete to prove himself. He proves himself to be good and faithful. The king is the antagonist because he is trying to profit off of the faithful servant's efforts. His efforts are in opposition to the faithful servant, who is the one who truly deserves the princess's hand in marriage.
