1 - Translate words to math

The sum of 11 and m

11 + m

is greater than -23

> -23

Therefore our inequality is;

11 + m > -23

2 - Solve it algebraicly

Although we dont use this rule here its good to know.

Unless we divide or multiply by negatives our inequality symbol stays the same. If that rule applies we flip the inequality (i.e. > to < and vice versa)

Now with that out of the way we can fully simplify our inequality as long as we know it works like an equality.

11 + m > -23

-11 -11

m > -34

So with this in mind we know our m value is greater than all numbers greater than -34 which is written as m > -34
