Explanation:

since the triangle has 2 congruent sides then it is isosceles with the 2 base angle being congruent, both x°

the sum of the 3 angles in the triangle = 180° , then

x + x + 58° = 180°

2x + 58° = 180° ( subtract 58° from both sides )

2x = 122° ( divide both sides by 2 )

x = 61°
