A creek is rising at a rate of 2 inches per hour. If the creek raises more than 3 feet, it will exceed flood stage. How long can the river rise at this rate without exceeding flood stage? (Remember there are 12 inches in a foot.) *

16 hours

because in 16 hours 2 inches per hour it will overflow
